Learn How to Cook - Sharpen Your Skills
If you want to learn how to cook, well, that's kind of what we do around here. I'm a classically trained chef who went to culinary school twice — once for pastry, and once for savory. If there's one thing I know how to do, it's teach people to cook in a way that's approachable, meaning they can understand and make it happen at home.
Why learn to cook?
Cooking is a really important life skill, for a few reasons:
- You get healthier when you cook for yourself
- You save money when you cook at home
- You become super in-tune with what you eat when you learn how to cook
- Cooking can be so, SO rewarding as hobby, even if doesn't come naturally to you.
Cooking is something everyone used to know how to do... but these days it's not so common. Everyone loves convenience. (Hey, I do, too!) But my health tanked in my 20s and I got super suck, because I was living off of burritos, pizza, frozen enchiladas, and Chinese takeout. I had to learn how to cook to save my life. And it worked! I went from spending weeks and weeks a year in the hospital to optimal health.
All because I can cook. Not bad, eh?
I want you to learn how to cook because it's good for you, but learning to cook is seriously fun as well. The best part is that you can tailor food to your exact taste — even things like vegetables can become delicious with a little technique.
